Revolutionary Mudguard On Its Way

As an online retailer of innovative cycle gear and accessories, we are always on the look out for new products that will capture people’s attention and create appeal. We are constantly trying to bring new and exciting bicycle accessories to New Zealand. For consumers, buying wicked accessories for bikes from abroad is not always overly appealing because of the cost of shipping. That’s where Bells and Whistles comes in.

The latest bike accessory on our list of must-haves is the Plume Mudguard. This is a recoiling bicycle mudguard that is built from resilient stainless steel. It simply rolls out into a firm, well-shaped bicycle mudguard and rolls back into a small circle that sits snugly behind your seat post. We have already established supply agreement so will be able to bring these to you in the next few months.

New Plymouth District Council Add MonkeyLectric Lights to Fleet of Bikes

Of all of Bells and Whistles’ range of urban bike accessories, it is the MonkeyLectric lights that have caught the eye the most. New Plymouth District Council is one of several major New Zealand organizations that have identified MonkeyLectric bicycle wheel lights as the sensible and logical means to improving what has up until now been non-existent – side visibility for bicycles. They have selected the M210 from our bike store range, the smallest of the Monkey lights and NPDC members can now be seen riding the streets at night or during the early hours of the morning with much needed added visibility. What’s more, they’re having fun doing it.

Mirrycle Bells Arrive for Road Cyclists & Mountain Bikers

On the back of much demand for smaller bicycle bells, Bells and Whistles has added the full range of Mirrycle Incredibell Original bike bells to its online catalogue. There has always been a need for bells on all bicycles but up until now there has been nothing out there that is small enough that doesn’t stand out like dog’s bullocks and gets in the way. The Incredibell Original is available in brass, silver and black and its the later of these that is proving popular with riders looking for something that blends in with their black handlebars. Made in Japan, these bike bells are quality made, easy to install, don’t ding by themselves when you ride and they let out an ideal non-offensive, yet effective sound.

Protect your Mobile Devices While You Ride With Sealline eCases

Most commuter cyclists ride with a back pack on and often we keep our phones and other mobile devices in them. Most of us have been caught out by a sudden shower and suddenly thought “oh s**t, I hope my cellphone is not getting wet”. Cyclists often go for the supermarket bag option as a means to protection but we all know that this isn’t the greatest option. Now you can slide your phone into the Sealline eCase 8, one of the top iPhone waterproof cases on the market. Alternatively, you can pop a variety of mobile devices into the larger Sealline eCase 20. These wonderful cases can be submersible in a metre of water for up to an hour, preventing your precious devices from getting wet. Best of all, you can still operate them (talk and scroll) whilst in their cases.

Bells & Whistles Light Up Little Big Markets in Mount Maunganui

We just made our first appearance at a market and got a superb response from locals. The Little Big Markets is held on the first Saturday of every month and features 150 stands. The Bells and Whistles stand attracted a lot of interest, much of which was generated by our new bicycle 6 pack beer holder, which was mounted on one of our fixed gear bikes, as well as the new Bells and Whistles bicycle coffee cup and holder on a cruiser bike. Our stand featured our complete range of bicycle bells, the Ass Saver, bike locks, Knog blinder bicycle lights and GripRings bicycle and scooter grips. The Dringdring and Crane bells were our best sellers and will most likely be next month as well being the month of Christmas.
